So You're Moving To The Denver Tech Center (DTC)
This week, host and real estate specialist Sean Savitt, will be diving into the Denver Tech Center and discussing everything you need to know before moving to the area. Whether you're looking for homes for sale in the Denver Tech Center (also known as DTC) considering which schools near the Denver Tech Center are best for your kids, what you need to know before moving here and some common myths that just aren't true starting with the need to own a Subaru or other AWD vehicle.
Location: If you've been searching for homes for sale in the Denver Tech Center, you might have noticed none of them are actually in an area called the Denver Tech Center. Chances are they are in Centennial, Greenwood Village, Aurora, Denver, Englewood, Parker, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Littleton etc. The Denver Tech Center is located South East of the interchange of Interstate I25 and I225 and overlays several different towns.
Schools: My advice for schools is to steer clear of Greatschools.com, Niche.com and site alike. The best way to get information to determine the best schools and district for your children is to speak to other parents and teachers. Not only can I help you connect with them however you can also join Facebook Groups for the area and ask your questions. You just might be surprised at the quality and sincerity of the answers you receive.
Weather: Look, we get snow however it's really nothing to worry about. Most of our big snow totals end up in the mountains other than a handful of snow falls a year and maybe one or two of those are substantial and last more than a day. If the snow really gets bad enough, the state will enact the traction law which means if your vehicle isn't designed for the snow, don't be on the road and long before that happens, we've all been rather accustomed to snow days and getting that wonderful morning announcement that the office will either be working from home or trickle in to the office as you safely can. The notion that you need 4x4 or AWD is rather comical once you've been here a year to see what we really deal with.
